Mission

Digital Communication &Technologies are making a big difference in people's lives, and what we do today to shape them properly can exponentially impact the benefit of the humanity. I4DCT is a non-profit organization, with the mission to provide significant support to development of the digital economy in order to foster the higher employment and economic growth in Albania.

Objective

I4DCT aims at strengthening all aspects of successful digital and high tech innovation ecosystems in Albania. The Institute of Digital Communication and Technologies has the objective to contribute to the development of a successful digital ecosystem and high-tech innovation that leads to a faster economic development of the Republic of Albania (in the Balkans, Mediterranean, European and global contexts).

The I4DCT goals are:

• To contribute to the improvement of government policies in order to create a stimulating business environment, this will foster the use of Digital technologies and technological entrepreneurship and attract investors in the area of DCT;
• To contribute to the improvement of the education in the DCT area, deepening the Albanian talent pool and creating new opportunities among young generation and woman, adult education, aimed at helping the existing workforce to keep pace with ever-faster changing job requirements;
• To provide assistance to the entrepreneurial start-ups and scale-ups in the creation and of the new businesses such as: by building communities, providing access to mentoring, workspaces and acceleration programs, and by attracting national and international angel and growth capital;
• fostering the exchange of ideas and facilitating co-operation through:
  • Our own local and international events;
  • The creation of opportunities for dialogue across the country;
  • Using the combined Business Networks and Media to increase the awareness of the digital ecosystem.

Target Groups

Institute of Digital Communication and Technologies will provide relevant networking, knowledge, skills and employment opportunities to Albanian youth, women, disadvantage groups, entrepreneurs and IT professionals through courses, conferences, competitions, meetups and festivals, portals and social media.
