1. What is Cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying is the use of technology (internet, mobile) to rape someone online. Cyberbullying occurs when a child or adolescent is threatened, mistreated, humiliated, offended, or deliberately targeted by another child or adolescent using digital technology and internet.
Cyber bullying can take many forms, such as:
- Emails, threatening, insulting and prejudiced messages;
- Insulting nicknames through posts on social networks;
- Posting photos, videos of other people without their approve, for the purpose of insult;
- Creating fake profiles on social networks on behalf of another individual for the purpose of insult.
- Mocking or insulting posts on social media
2. How to protect ourselves from Bullying?
- Ignore - threatening or ridiculous messages!
- Block the person that sent you inappropriate messages!
- Ask an adult you trust to inform you.
- Create a new account – share the information about the new account only with the people you trust
- Report the sites from which you have received a threat - Most sites require you to evaluate the cyber bullying report and delete / remove posts posted against you.
